What happens if there is an oversubscription?

Oversubscription occurs when the amount raised exceeds the targeted amount sought to be raised. In such cases, the issuer is not entitled to any oversubscription amount. The shares will be allotted to investors on a first-come, first-served basis. Any oversubscription amount will be refunded to the investors who contributed later, without interest.
